ACDA Legacy Award

Nominate a Leader Who Has Made an Impact on College Dance

The American College Dance Association is proud to honor the legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to dance in higher education through the ACDA Legacy Award.

The ACDA Legacy Award recognizes individuals whose contributions to dance in higher education and to ACDA have made a meaningful impact at the regional and/or national level. The award celebrates those whose leadership, teaching, artistry, service, and dedication have helped shape and strengthen the field of college dance.

The inaugural ACDA Legacy Award was presented posthumously in 2025 to Judy Allen, a longtime leader in dance in higher education and past President of ACDA. Her recognition established the spirit of an award that honors individuals who have made a lasting contribution to the field and to the ACDA community.
