Leading the Student Voice

Are you passionate about dance, leadership, and building community? Become an ACDA Student Ambassador and help shape the student experience within the American College Dance Association.

Student Ambassadors serve as leaders and advocates for their peers by sharing information about ACDA opportunities, encouraging student involvement, and providing valuable feedback that helps strengthen the organization. Throughout the academic year, ambassadors connect with students from across the country while developing leadership, communication, and professional skills.

Whether you are attending an ACDA conference for the first time or are already an active member, the Student Ambassador Program is a great way to expand your network, build your résumé, and make a meaningful impact on the future of ACDA.

As an ACDA Student Ambassador, you will:

• Build community among dance students across the country.
• Increase student involvement in ACDA programs and initiatives.
• Represent and amplify the student voice within the organization.
• Share ACDA news, opportunities, and resources with your campus community.
• Develop leadership and professional skills that extend beyond the classroom.

What You Will Receive

Student Ambassadors who successfully complete the program will receive:

• Student Ambassador Badge 
• A Certificate of Completion
• Recognition as an ACDA Student Ambassador for your résumé, CV, or LinkedIn profile
• Leadership and professional development experience
• Opportunities to network with students from across the country
• Priority opportunities to participate in ACDA Instagram Takeovers

Student Ambassador Expectations

Student Ambassadors are expected to:

• Attend all three virtual Student Ambassador meetings.
• Participate in at least one ACDA virtual program during the year.
• Subscribe to the ACDA Newsletter.
• Follow ACDA on social media.
• Share ACDA programs, events, and opportunities with fellow students.
• If attending an ACDA conference, attend the ACDA Membership Meeting and help foster an engaging, welcoming environment for student participants.

Meeting Schedule

• Meeting #1 November 6, 2026 | 1:00–2:00 PM ET
• Meeting #2 January 22, 2027 | 1:00–2:00 PM ET
• Meeting #3 April 2, 2027 | 1:00–2:00 PM ET

What You Will Do

Throughout the year, Student Ambassadors will:

• Learn about ACDA programs, initiatives, and leadership opportunities.
• Connect with fellow ambassadors from across the country.
• Prepare for ACDA conferences through training and discussion.
• Represent ACDA through conference engagement and social media opportunities.
• Provide valuable feedback to help shape future ACDA programs and initiatives.
