Using Neurology to Improve Strength and Flexibility Lisa Thorngren Dancers require both strength and flexibility in order to create the variety of movement required. But these qualities can vary from day-to-day – some days you and your students may feel tighter or weaker than expected, and that often has nothing to do with actual muscle strength or length. Learn how the brain ultimately controls these qualities, and how you can use movement and sensory input to help improve your strength and flexibility, and that of your students, on those more challenging days. |
